Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Role Type: Full-time – 100% Remote

Location: Anywhere in the U.S., although you must be willing to work Central Time or Mountain Time hours
Compensation: OTE $70,000-$80,000 per year

Job Summary:

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Cars & Bids you will generate qualified dealership leads by prospecting for new business opportunities within specific geographical regions. The SDR will also be responsible for cultivating and nurturing prospects to move them from unidentified leads to scored leads with an appointment to meet with our business development team. The SDR will utilize outbound phone calls, email, video, and social media to reach decision makers within predefined targets. They will also develop ongoing relationships with contacts by providing value to the contact in every interaction.

The SDR will:

  • Make outbound phone calls to customers and prospects to set appointments for the business development team (100 calls per day).
  • Identify, generate and qualify new sales leads through dealer analytics, internal marketing processes, and automotive industry partnerships.
  • Prepare regional markets for productive BDM visits by conducting pre visit dealer calls to ensure the team members have appointments set up for visit.
  • Understand specific Cars & Bids successful dealer profiles and target potential partners that fit the profile.
  • Utilize social media platforms to connect and further score potential leads.
  • Provide a feedback loop to Marketing on effectiveness of demand generation
    campaigns.
  • Pilot new sales enablement tools.
  • Track qualifying data in CRM to properly score leads.
  • Key goals include volume of pipeline generated, number of appointments set, number of new partners added, total lead to response time.

The iDeal SDR will have:

  • A high level of oral and written communication.
  • Prior Automotive experience, such as in BDC, auction sales, retail sales, or vendor sales
  • Prior experience and comfort cold calling dealers, consignors, and/or collectors.
  • Experience using and documenting in CRMs
  • Experience using
    • Microsoft office
    • Google workspace
  • An ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • High attention to detail
  • A deep passion for, and knowledge of, cars from the 1980s to present.
  • Enthusiasm for a “startup” environment within a small, fast-growing business.
