COMPENSATION
$170,000 – $230,000 USD + Bonus

OVERVIEW

Improve our cross-platform patching Agent running on over 1 million endpoints by working with leadership and across teams to research, design, develop, and document solutions as a subject matter expert.

• Relentlessly push for improvement in architecture, programming knowledge and practices, team dynamics, and process flows as it relates to our Agent.
• Evolve our release systems to automate agent updates across all three major operating systems (Windows, Linux, & MacOS).
• Expand our agent's security feature set.
• Contribute to unit and integration testing strategy improvements.
• Share knowledge and provide direction through a variety of mediums such as demos, Confluence, and formal talks in and between teams.

As a Staff Engineer, you are an innately curious software developer who is dedicated to your craft. BACKGROUND & SKILLS REQUIRED

• 8+ years of enterprise-level development experience writing client side software agents in Golang, C++, C#, Python, or Rust.
• Passion for technical leadership; reenforcing strong engineering practices, leading architecture and system design conversations, mentoring more junior engineers.
• Experience with systems programming, networking, virtual machine and container orchestration, and shell-scripting languages.
• Ability to communicate complex problems and concepts with respect, patience, and clarity.
• Passion for mentoring and developing a team of engineers.
• Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to pass a federal, state, county background check.
• Complete a local in-person verification.
