Basis’ Finance team employs our product, Basis, to invoice, reconcile, and recognize revenue—all from one platform. You will report to the Dir, Credit & Operations and support the department by evaluating customer credit health to minimize bad debt exposure. You will perform credit application review and approval, review credit increase requests, monitor existing credit limits for active customers and work under the guidelines of our credit insurance policy.

WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

    • Performing all new customer credit checks within the designated threshold and tracking contract information for account setup
    • Reviewing and compiling client credit risk data by using third-party credit reporting services, client-provided credit references, and publicly-available information to make credit limit decisions, escalating findings to senior team members as needed
    • Gathering and organizing documentation for high-dollar credit limits, extended terms requests, and credit reviews for limits outside of the insurance coverage threshold to share this information with the appropriate approver for decision-making
    • Preparing professional, thoughtful and persuasive email communication for Sales and other departments regarding credit approvals, denials, and requests for more information
    • Entering new customer account information in NetSuite and initial funding transactions for new customer credit lines with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
    • Requesting credit coverage through the credit insurer’s platform and making credit insurance updates to NetSuite
    • Reviewing existing credit limits and making proactive credit adjustments as needed
    • Collaborating cross-functionally on any updates or impacts to AR processes or systems and working directly with the Collections team to evaluate risk for past due accounts

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

    • 1-2 years experience in a Finance role
    • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks that have different scopes
    • Comfortable with working independently while meeting all deadlines and goals
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Excellent written communication skills

$46,000 – $59,000 a year
This salary range reflects a typical compensation range for the role and level in most U.S. locations. Final compensation offered will depend on your location, experience, and skills. Total compensation may also include bonuses, equity, and competitive benefits.
