We seek a highly motivated and organized Business Operations Manager to lead and execute operations projects as part of the Global Product & Technology Organization (GPTO) Business Operations team. This role is to support the operations of the organization. It requires strong project management and change management skills and the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives that optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and support strategic goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and adept at managing projects and organizational change in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires you to be in our Ottawa office twice a week.
Your Impact:
Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and oversee operational projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, tracking progress against key milestones.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Change Management:
- Develop and execute change management strategies to support adopting new processes, systems, and tools.
- Assess the impact of operational changes on teams and stakeholders, addressing challenges proactively.
- Create and deliver communication plans, training programs, and resources to facilitate smooth transitions.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and ensure adoption.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with stakeholders from product and technology teams to align priorities and objectives.
- Communicate project and change management updates, milestones, and results to stakeholders at all levels.
Data-Driven Decision-Making:
- Use data and metrics to assess project and change management outcomes.
- Generate insights to inform future projects and strategies.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, technology, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 10 years of overall work experience with 5+ years of experience in business operations, project management, or related roles, preferably in a product and technology environment.
- Strong knowledge of project and change management methodologies (PMP, Agile, or PROSCI certifications are preferred).
- Proficiency in project management tools and change management frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
- Experience working in a technology or software development environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with operational frameworks (e.g., OKRs, Lean Six Sigma) is preferred.
- Experience managing large-scale organizational changes is preferred.
