We are looking for an Associate Carrier Manager to support and strengthen Shippo’s global carrier network. This role focuses on executing day-to-day carrier partnerships activities with the main US Carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx). Including performance monitoring, and ensuring reliable service for our merchants. Your work as an individual contributor at this level will directly support and drive important team-wide initiatives and projects.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Product, Engineering, Support, and Sales—as well as external carrier partners to resolve operational issues, maintain documentation, and help ensure a consistent, high-quality shipping experience. You’ll build a strong understanding of our carrier ecosystem and contribute insights that help inform decisions at the team level.
Shipping & handling responsibilities:
- Help manage the daily operations for a portfolio of domestic carriers to ensure service consistency and partner satisfaction.
- Support performance tracking and operational reporting for assigned carriers, raising issues when trends emerge.
- Collaborate with more senior team members to maintain compliance standards and support performance improvement initiatives.
- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders to triage and resolve partner issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for assigned carrier workflows and processes.
- Participate in projects such as data cleanup, documentation standardization, or improving internal tooling, often as part of a team.
- Build working relationships with carrier contacts and internal collaborators to improve coordination and delivery.
Do you tick the boxes?
- 2–4 years of experience in operations, partner management, account management, or program coordination—preferably in logistics, shipping, or SaaS.
- Solid organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize effectively and complete tasks reliably.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability: can identify issues independently and take initiative to resolve or escalate.
- Comfortable working with data and tools to track metrics or identify trends.
- Basic familiarity with APIs or technical systems, and interest in deepening technical fluency.
- Clear, professional communicator with the ability to align stakeholders on task-level decisions.
- Team player with a customer-centric mindset and interest in building domain expertise.
