The Channel Communications team at Airbnb is responsible for the strategy and execution of company and communications campaigns and content across, social, influencer and press, shaping how the brand shows up organically online.

We’re seeking a versatile and experienced social expert to support a communications team that is advancing awareness for the proximity to culture that Airbnb offers. The Social Lead will move at the speed of culture to identify and react to real-time social moments that create opportunities to drive brand love on TikTok and Instagram.

The ideal candidate is curious, clever, engaged, positive, and detail- and solution-oriented. The world and thus our industry is changing quickly, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable with moving and adapting nimbly and strategically as circumstances evolve.

A Typical Day:

  • Implement a culture-penetrating social programming approach that drives online relevance for Airbnb among key audiences
  • Move quickly and efficiently to spot and ideate around real-time social opportunities where the brand can play a meaningful role
  • Establish and implement clear creative principles to help subvert the status quo and differentiate how we show up in the feeds
  • Partner with and steer a team of social creatives and producers to generate reactive content that connects Airbnb to culture
  • Partner with key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the timely and strategic deployment of reactive social content, balancing speed with risk tolerance and creative integrity
  • Analyze and merchandise social content performance, applying learnings in real time to strengthen and refine output on an ongoing basis

Your Expertise:

  • 10+ years experience in social media work
  • Proven track record of developing real-time social content that cuts through the noise
  • Experience leading social creative teams
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in building and executing creative and innovative social content on Instagram and TikTok
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
