The Risk pillar is a high-performing, multi-disciplinary technical development collection of teams that includes data analysts, data scientists, product managers, and engineers. THE ROLE

You will design, implement, and track the risk prevention policies at the center of our risk detection and mitigation strategy. You will work with policy and operations experts to understand the details of what’s working well and where we have opportunities to fill gaps. You will drive analytical efforts to source data from Eventbrite’s wide variety of product features, and then leverage it to design effective, low friction policies. You will collaborate with colleagues in engineering to use our in-house decisioning platform to quickly design, test, and ship data-driven rules, and to implement improvements to that platform to move faster. You’ll work with data scientists to leverage and collaborate on improving machine learning and AI models. You will partner with other analytical teams to track the impact on the business as a whole.

 

THE SKILL SET

  •       Proven ability to research and design data-driven policies, and to communicate findings to non-technical audiences including cross-functional decision makers
  •       Expertise with SQL including experience working in complex data environments (>2 years) with experience developing monitoring and dashboards, including design and maintenance of data transformations using tools            such as DBT
  •       Command of a set of practical statistical analysis packages including pandas, Microsoft Excel, and/or similar tools to perform predictive analysis
  •       Experience with data processing and scripting in Python including comfort with version control tools (e.g. git) and test-driven development (>2 years)
  •       Collaborative mindset and interest in gaining domain expertise in payments, content moderation, and risk prevention spaces

 

BONUS POINTS

  •     Direct experience in an anti-abuse space such as fraud, spam, content policy, or trust and safety
  •     Experience working closely with machine learning and AI-driven teams and associated knowledge of statistics
  •     Active Eventbrite user with a passion for live events

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Eventbrite, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below. You may also be eligible to participate in Eventbrite’s incentive program(s) (such as equity, annual incentive bonus and commission plans), subject to the applicable rules and restrictions.
