We’re looking for a Sr Coordinator for Provider Licensing & Credentialing to join the Provider Operation Team, within our Managed Services Organization. In this role, you will work closely with our providers and business stakeholders to support the Keeps Medical Group credentialing and licensing process. You must be comfortable speaking with others across various channels (primarily email/message) compassionately and professionally. You are a good fit for the role if you are detail-oriented and ready to serve as the subject matter expert for provider credentialing with KMG. What you get to do every day
- Licensing
- Oversee provider licensing applications, ensuring compliance with state medical board and federal regulations
- Process license renewals, new license applications, and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) collaboration agreements for the medical group with 100-200 clinicians
- Liaise with state medical boards, credentialing agencies, and the clinical team to resolve application delays or documentation errors
- Independently manage complex licensing cases, including those with regulatory challenges
- Proactively manage the provider licensing database to ensure data accuracy and timely updates
- Serve as the internal point of contact for licensing and credentialing questions regarding new licenses, license renewals, and APP collaborations
- Additional duties
- Serve as the internal expert and point of contact for licensing inquiries
- Support other ad-hoc practice and insurance operations tasks as needed
- Drive process improvements to streamline licensing workflows to improve efficiency
What you bring to the role
- At least 2 years of experience in a credentialing, licensing, or a related field within the healthcare industry
- Familiarity with credentialing platforms (e.g. CAQH, CredentialStream) or EHR platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication, with experience engaging with providers to collect documentation or resolve application issues
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail to manage complex credentialing and licensing workflows
- Proactive problem-solving skills to address unexpected licensing or credentialing issues
- Google Suite knowledge and the ability to navigate spreadsheets are a must.
- Superb judgment, the ability to think quickly on your feet, and with deep empathy
Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7 to 8 hours per day.
- Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.
