We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our growing Data Engineering and Data Science team. Data is a core competency of Engine, and the team’s mission is to leverage our data assets, advanced analytics, and machine learning to deliver product and business value across the organization. Our overarching company goals include revenue growth, enhancing member experience, and ensuring scalability.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with stakeholders across product, engineering, and design to lead metrics definition, reporting, and analyses.
  • Lead key analytics projects and derive actionable insights to drive better product and business performance.
  • Design and build statistical analyses to answer specific business questions and power key product functionalities.
  • Participate in product and growth experiments.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to generate and track relevant product and business metrics.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to establish data assets and feature stores for process automation, advanced analytics, and machine learning models.
  • Manage the company’s business intelligence reporting dashboards.
  • Leverage advanced SQL skills to explore large, complex datasets and uncover key insights related to pricing and business performance.
  • Independently investigate open-ended business questions; identify patterns, quantify opportunities, and deliver actionable recommendations that inform strategic pricing decisions.
  • Translate complex and nuanced analytical findings into clear, concise insights for senior leadership, with a strong focus on aligning recommendations with business goals.
  • Demonstrate ownership and depth in analysis — moving beyond surface-level metrics to uncover the “why” behind performance trends and deliver high-impact insights.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, pricing, and engineering teams to scope analytical needs and validate hypotheses with rigorous data-driven approaches.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data, Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience as a Data or Business Analyst with a proven track record of manipulating and extracting value from datasets.
  • Experience building complex SQL queries.
  • Strong fundamentals in statistics and econometrics (e.g., regressions, hypothesis testing).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues and analyses.
  • Experience with Looker, Snowflake, and Amplitude is a plus.
  • Inquisitive mindset with a desire to dig deeper to understand the “why” behind our data.

Why Join Us:

  • Be part of a data-driven culture that values innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to shape the future of our product and business.
  • Enjoy opportunities for growth, learning, and meaningful impact across the organization.
