The Quality Assurance Associate provides direct consultation to clinicians on documentation and quality assurance standards, identifies and helps resolve routine quality issues, and offers administrative and project support for the broader QA initiative. This role plays a hands-on part in upholding and advancing Octave’s commitment to high-quality mental health care.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support implementation and development of QA program plans.
  • Provide direct consultation and guidance to clinicians on documentation standards, clinical best practices, and quality assurance expectations.
  • Engage in the monitoring and reporting of provider quality metrics to identify trends and support continuous improvement.
  • Assist with flagging, investigating, addressing, and documenting provider related issues.
  • Plan, manage, and monitor ongoing quality assurance related projects.
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
  • At times, provide aspects of client care including conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing therapy, monitoring progress, intervening in crises, and documenting sessions in accordance with Octave’s Care Model.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in an administrative and/or project management capacity.
  • Preferred minimum of two years experience in a quality assurance role.
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, human services or a related field is preferred
  • Current clinical license and PsyD, PhD, LMFT, LPCC or LCSW; must be registered and maintain appropriate licensure with the appropriate state Board of Behavioral Science
  • Experience and understanding of the mental health or healthcare industry.
  • Previous experience of electronic health record systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter who is willing to be proactive and solution oriented.
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite, strong skills with Excel strongly preferred.
  • Flexibility in the role and willingness to go outside of the exact job responsibilities is a requirement.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with others through virtual meeting applications such as Zoom and Google Meet.
  • Must be able to observe and communicate information on company provided laptop.
  • Move up to 10 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
