We’re looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Payroll Specialist with UKG Dimensions and Excel expertise to join our Finance Team.

As Payroll Specialist, you will:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time for 600+ salaried and hourly employees.
  • Review timesheets, compute wages, and reconcile pay (including overtime and other types) with accuracy and compliance, through collaboration with managers and People Operations.
  • Post, update and reconcile all employee-related payroll deductions (garnishments, tax levies, child support orders, etc.).
  • Analyze and respond to inquiries from employees regarding paycheck amounts, deductions, leave accruals, direct deposit, and other concerns.
  • Research and gather required documents to set up required tax accounts in new states where the company operates.
  • Research payroll tax payments and data discrepancies with federal, state and local agencies, and work with tax agencies as well as internal staff for resolution.
  • Work with the payroll system to ensure that the company is in compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, establishing state tax, unemployment tax and local city/territory accounts as necessary.
  • Monitor and complete tax filings as necessary.
  • Pull various payroll reports from HRIS system.
  • Prepare and input payroll journal entries as needed and complete any related analysis.
  • Assist with balancing of payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Assist Controller with various ad hoc reporting projects and requests.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years experience processing payroll
  • UKG Dimensions experience
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state tax and wage laws
  • Solid Excel skills and proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment
  • Impeccable professional integrity and a strong commitment to upholding confidentiality in all aspects of payroll management
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation

Annual full-time base salary range: $60,000-$82,500
