Job Summary

The Payroll Manager is a key role within the Finance team and a cross-functional partner to the People Team.  You will be responsible for managing payroll cycles globally and ensuring compliance, timeliness, and accuracy of every payroll cycle.  You will drive payroll transformation as we look to standardize, streamline and automate the global payroll as we grow and scale rapidly.

This is a unique opportunity where you will own the payroll processes as our first dedicated payroll hire and work cross-functionally with a high-performing team in a fast-growing company.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee and administer employee earnings, salary wages, commissions, bonus and any ad-hoc payments across multiple jurisdictions
  • Calculate and enter prorated wages for new hires and terminations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices
  • Work with third party administrators to reconcile and ensure accuracy of benefit contributions
  • Work with company database programs to process payroll
  • Assess, manage and improve payroll related processes
  • Own and assist with special projects, including new payroll system implementation
  • Prepare reports to relevant departments about payroll
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
  • Support ad hoc requests from across the organization
  • Research and resolve discrepancies independently

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years payroll administration experience
  • Minimum of 2 years ADP Workforce Now payroll experience
  • Proven experience in a payroll position for 100+ employees in a fast-paced environment required
  • Experience with international, state and local jurisdictions payroll administration and wage laws
  • Experience with 401k reconciliations and audits
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications
  • Exceptional attention to detail, multitasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and highly confidential environment with minimal supervision
