The Payroll Specialist will manage payroll operations for employees across multiple US states and
Canada, with occasional support for EMEA and APAC regions. This role involves ensuring timely payroll
processing, accuracy, compliance with regulations, and overall efficiency while maintaining the
highest level of confidentiality.
Reporting to the Senior Global Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist will
collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust payroll processes, optimize accuracy,
mitigate risks, and enhance payroll performance. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise
and initiative to strengthen our payroll function.
The ideal candidate understands payroll laws and regulations in both the US and Canada, has
experience in payroll process design, and can take initiative while working under a coaching style
management.

What you’ll be doing:

    • Process semi-monthly payroll for US and Canadian employees, ensuring accurate calculations, adjustments, and deductions.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and staying updated on relevant payroll laws.
    • Support EMEA/APAC payroll operations when needed.
    • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports, including year-end payroll filings.
    • Maintain payroll records, data integrity, and conduct regular audits and reconciliations. and assist with internal and external audits.
    • Liaise with the People team to execute accurate benefits and deductions and manage pension programs and related deductions.
    • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly.
    • Coordinate with Finance, People, and IT departments to implement system updates and improvements.

What you’ll bring to the table:

    • 3+ years of experience in full-cycle payroll with a focus on US multi-state payroll; Canadian experience is a plus.
    • Proven experience in global payroll operations.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to manage competing priorities.
    • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication, self-motivation, and a positive “can do” attitude that empowers teams.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an intermediate level of experience in Excel.
    • Bachelor’s degree or certification in Payroll, Accounting, Finance, or HR preferred.
    • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, BambooHR, or UKG is a plus.
