Anaconda seeks a strategic External Communications Manager to drive our brand narrative, thought leadership initiatives, and integrated marketing programs. This role will drive external-facing content strategy and execution while supporting our mission to advance AI with open source at scale. The ideal candidate will understand how to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives that resonate with our diverse audience of practitioners, decision-makers, and industry leaders.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead social media strategy and agency management including content creation, platform management, employee advocacy programs, and direction of external agencies to build brand awareness and engagement across our 50M user community
  • Execute integrated communications programs including monthly customer newsletters, go-to-market support for product launches, and proactive industry monitoring to inform messaging strategies and identify leadership opportunities
  • Develop employee amplification initiatives by creating ready-to-use social content and messaging frameworks that enable internal teams to authentically share Anaconda’s story across their professional networks
  • Drive thought leadership and content creation by partnering with executives and SMEs to develop bylined articles, press releases, research reports, and marketing materials that reinforce Anaconda’s market position and communicate platform value to technical and business audiences
  • Establish measurement frameworks and optimize performance across all communications channels, providing regular reporting on engagement, reach, and business impact to drive continuous improvement

What You Need:

  • 5+ years of communications, marketing, or content creation experience with demonstrated success in B2B technology environments
  • Self-starter mentality with proven ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and drive initiatives from concept to completion
  • Experience with social media management, email marketing platforms, and content management systems
  • Proven track record of developing and executing integrated communications strategies
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong understanding of the AI, data science, machine learning, and developer tools landscape

The US base salary range for this role is $79,000 – $137,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed in each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.
