The Senior Chargeback Associate is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and resolving chargeback disputes efficiently and accurately across the FanDuel Group brands. Senior Chargeback Associates will also assist in the training and development of team members, as well as assist in the development of policies and procedures related to fraud and chargeback prevention and mitigation.
Senior Chargeback Associates play a key role in identifying risk and providing stakeholder guidance on chargeback and dispute processes. Advanced understanding of the chargeback dispute process is required as well as an intermediate understanding of existing and emerging Fraud risks within Daily Fantasy Sports, online gaming, or related industries.
THE GAME PLAN

- Review, analyze and resolve daily chargeback disputes efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in training, onboarding, and mentorship of Chargeback Associates and teammates across Fraud & Payment Operations
- Analyze fraud and chargeback trends and work with stakeholders to deliver feedback and suggestions to our strategies and tactics.
- Perform advanced account due diligence and take discretionary actions (change user status, refund, credit etc.) to mitigate further loss to the business and reduce customer friction on remediation steps.
- Assist with internal and external support vendors; including but limited to banks, processors, customers, merchants and card networks.
- Investigate chargeback claims and compile evidence to either support or oppose a claim through the reimbursement process.
- Assist with basic account review and resolution; including status changes, payment refunds and the debiting or crediting of funds.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to maximize debt recovery and team efficiency.
- Additional tasks and projects as required by Supervisor or Manager
THE STATS
What we’re looking for in our next teammate
- 2 – 4 years of chargeback resolution experience in Daily Fantasy Sports, online gaming or related industries preferred.
- 2 – 4 years of fraud experience in Daily Fantasy Sports, online gaming or related industries preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred.
- Intermediate understanding of the chargeback workflow, bank and payment operations, payment processors, industry trends and best practices.
- Intermediate understanding of Check, ACH, Wire, Debit/Credit card, PayPal and other payment channels operating rules.
- Strong knowledge of common fraud-prevention strategies and systems.
- Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours that include nights and weekends.
- Passion for sports and/or gaming industry a plus.
- Licensure: Must be able to pass required licensing as mandated by various state racing and gaming regulatory bodies
