Buxton is currently seeking an Account Manager to create long-term, trusted relationships with our clients. An Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned clients, work collaboratively with a cross-functional internal team to meet client needs through our products and services, and grow their portfolio through new services or client opportunities.

Buxton is a leader in the use of analytics to help our clients grow or optimize their physical location networks, understand their consumer’s behavior, and more. We work with clients spanning a wide range of industries from retail to restaurants, entertainment venues, fitness, healthcare, and more.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives and project scope
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Learn and be able to help our clients navigate SCOUT, Buxton’s proprietary mapping and analytics solution software
  • Prioritize competing client needs and inquiries and manage joint team calendars for meetings with key client stakeholders
  • Post COVID restrictions/concerns, travel the U.S. approximately 30% of the time


What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, economics, real estate, statistics, math, or related fields or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to confidently speak to clients and present to a C-suite audience
  • Ability to listen and connect with clients
  • Interest in working in a data analytics and data science company
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of diverse clients
  • Ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Familiarity with statistical or data analytics concepts is a strong plus
  • Previous sales experience is a strong plus
