As an Account Executive – SMB, you will play a crucial role in helping Bird achieve our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue-growth objectives.

You’ll be tasked with quickly and efficiently generating interest primarily in our SMB market segment through outbound activities (emails, campaigns, calls) and also managing inbound leads as they come through. You will be responsible for building sales volume by uncovering, developing, and qualifying sales opportunities with prospective customers and progressing those opportunities through the pipeline to close.

You will be the driver of building new business relationships, connecting with potential clients who have expressed interest in Bird and targeting those you identify as having an opportunity to work with.

What you’ll do


Lead Qualification

  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing efforts, referring them to the commercial or enterprise sales team as appropriate.
  • Determine the needs of these companies and their fit with Bird services.
  • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations, including live demonstrations of Bird products via remote presentation.

Deal Closing

  • Handle and close small deals independently, leveraging strong product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with clients, maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Exceeded revenue and sales goals whilst maintaining strong pipeline coverage and accurate forecasting levels.
  • Prepare sales offers, proposals, and product presentations

Pipeline Management

  • Consistently maintain a healthy sales pipeline, regularly updating CRM with customer interactions and progress.
  • Follow up on leads in a timely manner and ensure lead status accuracy.
  • Exceeded revenue and sales goals whilst maintaining strong pipeline coverage and accurate forecasting levels.
  • Make both cold and warm prospect calls, using targeted questions and your rapport-building skills to understand the client’s business strategy and how we at Bird can contribute to their success. You will also leverage top-of-the-range sales tools such as Zoominfo and Linkedin Sales Navigator to be successful.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate closely with commercial and enterprise teams, ensuring qualified leads are efficiently moved through the sales funnel.
  • Provide feedback to marketing and product teams, sharing customer insights to inform future campaigns and product improvements.


What you’ll bring

  • 2 Years’ prior experience in an outbound sales position, preferably selling B2B software solutions.
  • Strong phone presence and ability to influence decision-makers virtually.
  • A proven track record of overachieving in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.
  • The determination, grit and hustle it takes to succeed in a sales role.
  • The confidence and communication skills required to initiate phone conversations with C-Level, VPs, Directors, Founders, Heads of & Managers, navigate questions, and overcome objections.
  • The curiosity required to learn, understand and articulate Bird technologies and our value proposition.
  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities – you’ll naturally thrive in a busy, challenging role where you can take ownership of your success and contribute to a driven team.
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • The drive and self-awareness required to continuously learn and improve your sales skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
