elp’s Accounting team is seeking a hands-on Collector to provide phone and administrative support for the Collections team. This high visibility position will provide Local Revenue credit card collection support, and in doing so, will interface daily with both external clients and internal departments. Thus, the ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills while also meeting the goals and deadlines of this fast-paced team.

What you’ll do:
- You will make outbound collection calls and send follow up emails to reduce the AR balance of cancelled Local advertising accounts
- You will continuously follow up with canceled accounts who still hold an outstanding balance
- You will answer inbound calls to the Collections queue phone line, maintaining an appropriate time-to-answer rate
- You will update and process credit card payments and work with clients to set up payment arrangements
- You will document collection efforts in CRM systems
- You will work within various queues, such as delinquency cases and team cases, to resolve inquiries in a timely manner
- You will work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales Operations, and Accounting teams
- You will be held to daily, weekly, and monthly collection goals
- You will regularly provide updates and feedback to your manager
What it takes to succeed:
Required qualifications:
- At least 1 year of work experience in a high-volume call center environment (minimum of 65+ calls per day)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment and quickly learn collection skills and techniques
- Comfort adapting to changes and/or duties in the work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to confidently communicate with senior leadership
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Word
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior collections, accounts receivable, or customer service experience
- Associates Degree and/or Accounting coursework
- Experience using Salesforce CRM

- Compensation range for this position is $39,000 – $65,500 annually. You may also be offered a bonus and benefits.
