Interests
Arts : I enjoy music and movies and I am interested in photography and photojournalism.
Sports: I play bowling and billiards on amateur level.
Reading: I usually prefer books related to psychology or philosophy, such as Zero Degrees of Empathy by Simon Baron-Cohen. I also like self-help books about various topics such as body language or palm-reading.
Watching: I follow TV-series such as Game of Thrones or Ray Donovan in order to keep my language skills fresh and keep entertained.
Learning: I can learn anything if I am interested in or I feel motivated or obliged. For instance, I did not take any courses directly related to journalism or being a correspondent, (as a matter of fact, I am a radio and television presenter) but I practised the job for 5 years. As another example, I have not taken my bachelor’s degree on communication or broadcasting or anything related. However, I had my master’s degree on international broadcasting (not even in my native language which is Turkish). Briefly, learning is my expertise field, so to speak.
