The VP of Product, Fulfillment Products and Services at Sterling will be a key strategic leader reporting to the Chief Product Officer, who will own leading a team in building successful products and services that power our customer’s needs as well as innovate the industry. We are looking for a senior leader to own and drive the product areas inclusive of Public Records/Criminal Products and Verifications Products.  You will provide strategic thought leadership and work cross-functionally to conceive and launch next-generation products and services in supporting innovation in the screening and identity industry. You will lead a team of product directors and product managers and partner with other product teams to deliver maximum impact on various product roadmaps.


Key Responsibilities & Deliverables 

  • Define, evangelize, and maintain strategy and product roadmap for Sterlings Product Fulfillment areas
  • Engage with Chief Strategy Office to refine a Data strategy along with a supply chain/vendor strategy to continuously improve fulfillment of products and services.
  • Align the Product Fulfillment vision with overall company goals and vision.
  • Lead, mentor and grow a team of fulfillment product leaders and product managers.
  • Engage cross functionally with product groups, engineering teams, client facing teams, professional services and champion recent releases and guide future product direction
  • Build strong trust relationships internally within Product and across Sterling with your partners and internal customers
  • Be responsible for internal and external communication on Sterling’s fulfillment products.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to bring visibility to the PR/Crim and Verifications product and features most relevant to customers.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and maintain current information regarding competitive activity
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align processes and practices to improve operational efficiencies
  • Must be able to get into the details as well as hover up and lead


Desired Skills & Experience 

  • 8+ years in Product Management/Product Strategy with substantial experience in senior leadership and management positions
  • Proactive, action-oriented mindset with a proven track record of balancing the delivery of long-term goals and short-term objectives.
  • An authentic leader comfortable with constant change in a fast-paced market with a focus on delivery and accountability to senior executives
  • Move effortlessly up and down many levels of abstraction while communicating with different stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to properly translate and articulate positioning and technology
  • A humble leader who can listen and learn, building deep empathy for our customers and key stakeholders.
  • Embody curiosity and drive, a lifelong learner and quick study who keeps current on developments in product management and new technology
  • Track record of hiring and retaining top talent while keeping a focus on Sterling culture
  • Strong quantitative and business analysis skills to measure key performance indicators of the organization
  • Ability to prioritize numerous simultaneous tasks needed to fulfill Sterling’s business objectives and follow through to execution as required
  • Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams in different time zones.



The pay range for this position is $170,000 to $220,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible to participate in the Annual Incentive bonus plan.  A full range of benefits including but not limited to medical, financial, unlimited sick time, 22 days’ vacation annually (for FT workers; prorated 1st year of employment), parental leave and other benefits are also provided.
