Sprout Social is looking to hire a Vice President of Product, Partnerships & Ecosystem for the Product team.

At Sprout, our partner ecosystem and relationships with our social network partners are fundamental to both our business growth and customers’ success. As a key member of our R&D executive leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will shape and define Sprout’s partnership and ecosystem product strategy. Your work will ensure that Sprout delivers the most comprehensive and impactful solutions to our customers. In this role, you will work closely with our social network partners to align business objectives, strengthen product collaborations, and unlock new go-to-market opportunities. As part of the R&D leadership team, you'll collaborate with other strategic leaders to inspire and guide our teams in delivering world-class products that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
What you’ll do:
- Define and execute Sprout’s product and partnership ecosystem strategy, positioning Sprout as a leader in the social media management space
- Collaborate closely with key partners to align business goals and deepen product and go-to-market opportunities
- Identify and prioritize key integrations that enhance customer workflows, create competitive advantages, and drive product adoption and long-term engagement
- Create and execute on go-to-market strategies for new product offerings driven by partnerships, ensuring maximum customer impact and engagement
- Develop a long-term “north star” vision for the ecosystem by partnering with Product and Revenue leadership, and revise our API strategy to support that vision
- Lead a cross-functional team of Product Managers (PMs), accountable for API and integrations product delivery, and Directors of Partnerships to drive product innovation and establish new partnerships
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture, ensuring alignment between product, partnerships, sales, and marketing teams
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive developments, bringing insights into the development of our product and ecosystem strategy
- Take full ownership of the entire partnership lifecycle, from initial commercialization and strategic alignment through to seamless product delivery and execution
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for a product-minded leader with deep business acumen to deliver value to our customers by strengthening and growing our partnership ecosystem and driving product strategy. The minimum qualifications for this role include:
- 12+ years of proven success in product management, partnerships, or a related leadership role in a high-growth SaaS or tech environment
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence go-to-market teams and senior leadership through data-driven insights
Preferred qualifications for this role include:
- Experience at a company with revenue greater than $1B
- Outstanding ability to act as a thought partner and strategic advisor to executive leaders
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams in a complex organization to drive growth
- Deep understanding of different product needs across markets and how cultural perspectives influence go-to-market plans
How you’ll grow
Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:
- Complete Sprout Social’s new hire training & onboarding program alongside other new Sprout team members. You’ll gain a broader understanding of our products and how your role fits into the organization.
- Understand the ins and outs of our partner relationships, how we work together with each partner, and how each partner differs from one another.
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with your team to understand what’s working, identify challenges, and gather insights to continuously improve your approach and drive success
- Immerse yourself in our products to understand what sets our software apart and why customers are passionate about using it
- Gain a deep understanding of the Product and Partnerships team’s operations, as well as the goals and objectives for both our internal team and our various strategic partnerships
- Build strong relationships with engineering, product, and design leaders, identifying key opportunities for collaboration and innovation
Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:
- Partner with senior leadership to define key success metrics for your role and teams and how you will measure against them
- Become well-versed in our partner plans, goals, and KPIs to increase internal adoption and drive external partner success
- Optimize and improve frameworks that track and increase visibility into the status of open partner initiatives
- Lead the discovery strategy and initiate meaningful conversations with companies that express interest in partnering with Sprout
- Cultivate senior-level relationships across the organization to enhance cross-functional collaboration and drive alignment
Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:
- Evangelize the product partnership strategy and vision to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and support for key initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners on strategic initiatives, influencing priorities and driving mutual success
- Lead performance reviews and career development for your leadership team, guiding them through performance conversations and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Measure and optimize process improvements, making data-driven adjustments as necessary to enhance team effectiveness and outcomes
- Share best practices and insights across the Product organization, mentoring others and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth
- Become a Sprout Social and social media expert, staying up-to-date with trends, new product features, and platform updates, and confidently communicating these developments to both internal and external stakeholders
Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:
- Continuously enhance and refine the Partnerships function to drive greater efficiency, alignment, and impact in achieving organizational goals
- Gather and act on feedback from peers, customers, and leadership—both solicited and unsolicited—to drive improvements and optimize outcomes
- Develop and execute a long-term strategic plan for the business, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and growth targets
- Bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table, challenging the status quo and driving positive change that contributes to the success of the team and organization

Whenever possible, Sprout wants to provide our team with the flexibility to work in the location that makes the most sense for them. Sprout maintains a remote workforce in many places in the United States. However, we are not set up in all states, so please look at the drop-down box in our application to see whether your state is listed. Few roles require an office setting. If your position requires a physical presence in a Sprout office, it will be evident in the job listing and your offer letter.
The base pay range for this role is $270,000 to $330,000 USD annually. Individual base pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. In addition to base pay, some Sales and Success roles can earn sales incentives.
Sprout’s compensation ranges are intentionally broad to allow for our team members' growth within their role. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.
Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout’s equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance, and Modern Health (a wellness benefit). Employees are able to enroll in Sprout’s company’s 401k plan, in which Sprout will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution. Sprout offers “Flexible Paid Time Off” and ten paid holidays.
