Bitly’s Product Design team is looking for a Technical Writer to manage our product documentation and advise on other user facing content. This writer will create and maintain help content for Bitly’s Connections Platform (support.bitly.com) and QR Code Generator (support.qr-code-generator.com).
We’d love to hear from you if you have strong documentation skills, consideration for your audience, and the ability to reflect the Bitly voice while still letting your own character shine through. What You’ll Do
- Create and maintain clear, friendly, accessible help content, including screenshots and video
- Strive to understand user needs and be an advocate for their success
- Consult website data and our customer-facing teams to inform content decisions
- Work with our EPD teams to understand new and existing features and localize content
- Be an editorial resource for our developer documentation, UX copy and other projects
- Create reports and internal announcements for content updates and performance
Who You Are
- You’ve authored documentation for SaaS products with Zendesk Guide or a similar CMS
- You have experience with tools like Jira, Slack, Google Analytics, and translation tools like Phrase
- You’ve explored site traffic data as an indicator for user behavior and content needs
- A collaborative communicator with a willingness to learn and grow, as well as guide others
- Your annoyed by mistakes in this job posting and can’t wait to provide editorial feedback in your cover letter
- Extra points if you’re familiar with Figma, Guru, basic HTML and CSS, and technical concepts like API, SSO, and webhooks
- Portfolio of work and/or writing samples must be provided.
