We are seeking a Technical Operations Associate to join our cross-functional Product, Engineering and Product Operations organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the successful technical implementation of new clients—spanning everything from data integrations and file exchange workflows to billing setup, performance guarantee tracking and configuration of key operational systems.
You will manage both inbound and outbound data flows, build client-specific configurations and support the systems that drive member engagement, operations and client reporting. You’ll also play a hands-on role in configuring files, managing SFTP credentials, validating reporting pipelines and deploying production code to support new client onboarding.
This position is ideal for someone who is technically curious, highly organized and excited about working at the intersection of data, operations and product implementation. You’ll gain hands-on experience with healthcare data formats, SQL-based reporting logic, secure file infrastructure and collaborative workflows across analytics, engineering and client-facing teams. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and proactive, with foundational technical skills and a desire to grow into a more advanced analytics engineering or technical product operations role.
Responsibilities:
- Load and process incoming healthcare files (labs, claims, pharmacy) via secure SFTP delivery.
- Monitor file receipt and structure; troubleshoot schema mismatches or formatting issues.
- Maintain mapping dictionaries and manage ingestion tracking to ensure SLA compliance.
- Collaborate with Data Operations and Engineering to validate ingestion pipelines and surface file anomalies.
- Own outbound file delivery setup including: client-specific data dictionary creation, report-generator YAML configuration, SFTP connection management and QA.
- Run outbound data generation scripts and validate files against client specs.
- Submit and manage PRs and coordinate with cross functional stakeholders as needed.
- Implement billing workflows using Google Sheets, DBT and SQL transformations.
- Configure pricing, billable items, engagement rules and grace periods based on contract requirements.
- Validate end-to-end setup using dashboards and raw data pipelines.
- Ensure all upcoming launch paying organizations are configured appropriately to ensure reporting pipelines reflect updated information.
- Run validations in BigQuery and Looker to confirm reporting dashboard accuracy.
- Source and align on requirements for program configuration alongside Product and Account Management stakeholders.
- Update operational tables and maintain changelogs for rule configuration changes.
- Deploy optimized program rules using custom Python scripts and Firestore.
- Partner with QA to validate member onboarding logic to ensure setup was implemented accurately.
- Coordinate with Product, Client Success, Engineering and Analytics to ensure readiness across all launch-related workflows.
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts for tooling, templates and SOPs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Business, Information Systems or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in data operations, analytics, health tech or implementation.
- Advanced working knowledge of SQL and strong skills in Excel/Google Sheets required.
- Experience using SFTP clients for secure file transfer, with the ability to navigate server directories, manage file permissions and support user access configurations.
- Experience with DBT, GitHub workflows and YAML configurations preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare data domains- labs, claims, pharmacy (Rx) or medical billing workflows strongly preferred and will help accelerate success in this role.
- Past working examples of using scripting languages (e.g., Python) to automate and execute tasks is a major bonus.
