We are seeking a dynamic product manager with a passion for teaching and learning and a strong background in generative AI, data fluency, and customer discovery. This role will report to the Director of Product Management in the Higher Education division at Pearson and will be the primary driver for early-stage innovation and prototyping of our AI-driven products.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision and Execution: Collaborate on a strategic vision for AI products in Higher Ed, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
Customer Discovery: Engage directly with customers to gather insights, validate product concepts, and drive customer-centric decision-making throughout the product development lifecycle.
Generative AI Integration: Lead the integration of generative AI technologies into new and existing products, ensuring innovative and impactful applications.
Product Discovery: Drive the rapid prototyping and validation of new product ideas, working closely with cross-functional teams to iterate and refine based on user feedback.
Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and stay abreast of current trends to identify opportunities for further applications of generative AI across the education sector.
Data Utilization: Leverage data analytics to inform product decisions, track performance, and optimize user experiences.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Engineering, User Experience Design, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Sales, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of the product strategy.
Product Launch: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies with cross-functional partners for new AI-driven products, including positioning, messaging, pricing, and distribution channels.
Qualifications:
Product Management Experience: At least 5 years of experience in product management roles, with a proven track record of successfully leading and launching new products or services.
Generative AI Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of generative AI, machine learning, and related technologies, including their applications, limitations, and potential impact on business strategy.
Customer Discovery and Human-Centered Design: Strong skills in customer discovery, empathy, and human-centered design, with a demonstrated ability to understand and address the needs of learners and educators.
Analytical and Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage data and metrics to inform decision-making and measure the success of AI initiatives.
Innovation and Prototyping: Experience in early-stage product development, including prototyping, user testing, and iterating on feedback.
Excellent Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional communication and relationship skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and concepts to diverse stakeholders and customers.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $130,000 – $140,000.
