We’re on the hunt for a dynamic, whip smart, Strategic People Business Partner for Pluralsight’s APAC Region. Pluralsight is at an unprecedented moment in our growth as a company and the Business Partner Team is at the forefront of designing People solutions that will propel us toward incredible growth in the marketplace and in the direction of our mission. You will collaborate with the People & Places team in the design and implementation of a variety of people programs that give leaders and team members (employees) leverage in driving business results. Because of your leadership, the leaders that you serve will cultivate teams where their team members do the best work of their lives.

  • An incredible business partner who can lead and develop teams through influence who can handle any situation, boldly influence others and build strong relationships across the business

  • You see every opportunity as a chance to develop a leader

  • A demonstrator of self leadership. How you organize your business and outcomes as a demonstration to your client group.

  • You see client groups as your customer with a customer focus in approach.

  • Passionate about business impact; business problem-solver that truly understands the strategic value the People org has on delivering a business unit’s key objectives connected to the company vision.

  • A bit of a data nerd – it is rewarding for you to review and analyze business data and metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee experience, performance, and retention

  • A creative problem solver who doesn’t rely simply on “best practices” of the standard HR playbook. In fact, you think like a founder or business leader yourself.

  • You are balanced in your approach, using data, emotional intelligence and good judgement to business and people problems

  • You are artful in conversations – in communicating clearly, listening intently, asking strategic questions that drive to the core of what needs to be discussed, and focus outcomes over output

  • You value global and cultural acumen and demonstrate an understanding of other people’s cultural, values, beliefs, and perceptions which may differ from your own

  • You lead with candor – your connectedness with people has people trust and follow you.

  • Can blend the balance of care for people and care for the cause seamlessly

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a champion for our team members and as a change agent; balancing the needs of team members, your functional business unit, the People Team, and the company

  • Use fact-based thinking to understand and serve as a consultant on various people related touch points, referring issues to the appropriate SMEs. You see yourself as a coordinator to ensure that situations are handled consistently, fairly, and efficiently.

  • Be trusted advisor to the Managing Director of APAC, and to the rest of the APAC leadership team on aspects related to People and other issues

  • Apply ethical practices in all you do, approaching situations fairly and consistently without bias and by using data

  • Identify coaching needs and provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leaders (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions), supported by data

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to deliver key hires to the business through a strategic, well-designed and fully-baked headcount planning approach

  • Deliver succession planning, development, change management, leadership development, and employee relations to your functional org

  • Lead and resolve sophisticated employee relations issues. Conduct effective, detailed and objective investigations if and when they come up.

  • You will become a role model for our values, using them as your operating system.

  • Find opportunities to add and bring value through people (the way they are led, developed, and enabled for doing their best work)

Experience you’ll need:

  • You have a consistent track record of results and influence as a strategic partner which has moved the needle across the company; delivering impact that support a high performing culture

  • You have proven experience across the APAC region and familiarity with Australia, India, Singapore markets and labor relations.

  • You have been a key member of a functional business leadership team who’s thought partnership has made significant contributions to the business strategy

  • You have led through numerous crucial conversations with influence and ease

  • You have the business acumen of Saas based business, specifically, sales and marketing organizations; giving you the credibility you need to coach leaders far more experienced than you
