Therabody is seeking a Social Community Specialist (Contract) to support the social media team. This person will be responsible for the daily management of Therabody’s Instagram & Tiktok account, community management across all platforms and working with cross-functional counterparts to support the team across the global Therabody ecosystem.
This person should have at least 2 years of experience in social media and content creation, either in-house or at an agency, ideally working on consumer products/brands in the wellness space. Success in this role requires having a creative perspective on content, strong writing and communication skills and the ability to multitask on multiple projects. This person should think “social-first” when it comes to content and marketing, and be passionate about wellness and social media. As social media is “always-on,” this person needs to be able to react quickly to social trends, create content and engage in relevant conversations in real time.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: daily posting and social media management, content ideation and creation, building social media calendars, writing captions and copy, identifying and reaching out to influencers, content creators and brands for collaborations and reporting/admin duties.
This person will need to be a self-starter and possess an entrepreneurial ability to try new and different things, working both independently and with the team. Overall, this person will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new content ideas and think of creative ways to elevate Therabody on social media and engage with our audience.
This position is a contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Therabody social team with daily posting, content creation and community management
- Daily communication and collaboration with cross-functional team members, providing support for content, captions, content guidelines, campaign briefs, etc.
- Ideate and create content briefs, working with internal creative and production teams, as well as external agencies and freelancers, to create compelling social content
- Support with social copy and captions
- Engage in community management through comments, direct messages, and driving conversation
- Ensure all content is fully optimized across relevant channels via tagging, linking and rapidly implementing any new social media features, platforms and/or technology
- Monitor, measure and analyze content performance and growth of follower count across social channels, including international
- Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
- Support Brand Relationships team with identifying, reaching out and sending product to influencers and content creators for brand collaborations, as well as creating content briefs and supporting with content edit/approval process
- Stay up-to-date with social trends, topics and emerging platforms
The Right Person Would Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field(s)
- 2+ years of social media and content creation experience, Instagram and TikTok focus
- Natural authentic story-telling and visual communicator with a genuine love for the wellness industry
- Experience ideating and creating social media content for Instagram and TikTok, as well as managing social channels including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Threads, Pinterest, LinkedIn
- Experience working with influencers and content creators on brand partnerships and collaborations
- Experience with Dash Hudson, Tribe Dynamics and/or other social and influencer marketing software
- Proven self-starter with the ability to juggle priorities and manage expectations
- Team player who maintains composure in high pressure and fast-paced situations
- Proven work experience as a social/community manager or similar role
- Experience planning and leading community initiatives
- Ability to identify and track relevant social KPIs
- Hands on experience with social media management and content creation
- Excellent communication (written, oral, interpersonal) and grammar skills
- Attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver
