You will be responsible for driving forward visual and motion design concepts for creative applications across social, video, content, events and marketing initiatives within our Creative Studio and will be an advocate for the brand across the organization.
Additionally, we’re looking for someone who can:
- Design revenue-driving assets such as emails, digital ads, sales collateral and campaigns
- Create custom artwork (including illustrations, icons and graphics) for our blog, content assets and guides to promote visual storytelling
- Collaborate with our social team to create timely and experimental content to increase engagement and awareness
- Efficiently create bespoke data visualizations and infographics for trusted industry reports and web applications
- Ability to manage multiple design projects ranging in scope with relative ease
- Technically and conceptually know how to make adjustments and refinements to strengthen your work, while embracing feedback from peers
- Maintain brand identity and visual strategy by ensuring consistency across all designs
- Meet tight deadlines while delivering quality design
- Gather and categorize art assets for future projects
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for a curious, passionate and collaborative Senior Visual Designer who is eager to learn and contribute to a broad scope of projects, working closely with our Brand Creative, Marketing and People teams.
The minimum qualifications for this role include:
- 8+ years of professional design experience
- Highly proficient with modern design tools including Adobe Creative Cloud Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Figma along with Canva and Google Slides
- A portfolio that showcases your design skills and experience ranging from content layout, to hero graphics, animation and multi-component campaign work
Preferred qualifications for this role include:
- Highly capable of making sound decisions around typography, composition, color, motion and other formal considerations.
- Can evaluate the structure and composition of the content and make appropriate typographic choices with little design guidance
- Demonstrated interest in advancing motion design skills for brand storytelling
- Detail-oriented. You catch inconsistencies, adhere to specs, requirements, and best practices. You care about the details and your work shows precision.
- Ability to articulate and defend conceptual approaches and design solutions
How you’ll grow
Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:
- Attend Sprout Social training to learn the ins and outs of the product and better understand Sprout’s value to our customers.
- Get to know everyone across the Brand Creative team and critical leaders/stakeholders in Marketing.
- Start to familiarize yourself with Sprout’s brand story and family of products.
- Attend stand-ups, kick-off meetings, and concept brainstorms with our partners.
- Soak up knowledge from every team you interact with and ask many questions!
Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:
- Have a good understanding of the Sprout customer and their needs.
- Learn from the Brand Creative team and become familiar working within Sprout’s brand guidelines.
- Begin to take ownership and manage timelines on various design projects, including sales campaigns, data reports, user guides and sell sheets.
- Execute on a wide range of illustration work, including scene, spot and iconography.
Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:
- See projects from inception to conclusion.
- Maintain brand integrity while advancing creativity within the context of project execution.
- Solve problems by expressing ideas and design concepts through sketches and mood boards.
- Work and iterate through the design process with creative check-ins, integrating feedback and creative direction throughout.
- Be comfortable and proactive about working with the rest of the Brand Creative team to push the creativity of our designs and overall brand.
- Contributes work that influences direction of visual standards.
- Have a full understanding of how to express the Sprout brand.
- Have a solid understanding of Sprout data and how to express Sprout data visually, knowing which types of visuals are appropriate for the data set in question.
Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:
- Explore new ways of visualizing common data sets.
- Maintain brand integrity while advancing creativity within the context of project execution.
- Develop a solid understanding of the Visual Design career band and begin to take ownership of your development path at Sprout.
- Surprise us! Use your unique ideas and abilities to change Sprout in beneficial ways that we haven’t considered yet.
