As a Project Manager for Information Security, you will collaborate with a diverse and talented cross-functional team dedicated to ensuring the security and trustworthiness of our software products. Your interactions will span across various departments, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment, including Privacy Operations, Safety & Trust, Engineering, Security and Compliance, Product & UX teams, and Executive Leadership in Hungary, Portugal, and the United States of America.

 

What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

Project Planning and Execution

  • Develop comprehensive plans outlining project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, tasks, and resource requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives and success criteria. Work closely with the stakeholders and leadership to set project priorities.
  • Work closely with the team, monitor resource utilization, and adjust as needed to maintain project schedule.
  • Execute projects within scope, on time, and within budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate within the Information Security teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Foster effective communication and coordination among team members, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment, scope requirements, and manage expectations. Address concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify internal and external dependencies and constraints and potential impact on project delivery—track and review with cross-functional teams to communicate clear commitments and deliverables. Escalate issues early and work with teams to resolve them quickly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes—document lessons learned for continuous process improvement. Implement project management best practices.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor, address, and solve risks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
  • Implement proactive measures to address challenges and ensure project success.

Compliance and Regulation

  • Stay informed about relevant privacy, safety and security regulations.
  • Ensure project compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Maintain open and transparent communication with all stakeholders, team members, executives, and external partners. Provide regular project status updates through written reports, presentations, and meetings.
  • Act as an escalation point to resolve project blockers

 

What does it take to work at LastPass?

  • Cross functional project management experience, ideally in a SaaS company with working knowledge of the product development lifecycle.
  • Excel at working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (We use Monday.com & Jira)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish credibility and adapt communication style based on audience (executives, technical/non-technical team members).
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Understanding of industry best practices of project management including Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English.

 

It’s great, but not required:

  • Knowledge of information security practices and mechanism
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Experience working with global teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,000 in the lowest geographic market and up to $121,500 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
