What you’ll do

 

As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for 4 distinct areas. The first is Category Development Strategy and Execution. This includes leading the development, execution, and implementation of a complete Category Strategy for assigned category(s), collaborating with key stakeholders, team members, and leaders affected by the respective category(s). Primary category – Technology and Products (Software, Hardware, SW implementation, Cloud and Data Center). Secondary category – Marketing, HR and Finance. The second will be Data Analysis. This includes strong advanced analytical, communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of requests. The third is Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). This involves leading the process of identifying critical suppliers and facilitating management of critical supplier relationships through KPI and SLA performance. Lastly, this role is also responsible for Stakeholder Management. This includes engaging and managing stakeholders impacted by their respective expenditure categories by delivering strategies and initiatives that achieve savings and create value for the organization.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing.

 

Responsibility

  • Lead negotiations with suppliers and tracking year over year savings
  • Conduct research, gather market intelligence, benchmarking analysis to understand the supply market and commodity trends
  • Establish and lead cross functional teams of key stakeholders to collaboratively define business requirements, develop strategic category plans and execute initiatives that create value and reduce risk
  • Identify, develop and lead the execution of strategies and improvement initiatives to reduce cost, improve quality and lower total cost of ownership
  • Develop analytical processes and savings or performance improvement metrics and KPI’s to monitor progress and ensure savings and performance targets are achieved
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives including strategic sourcing and other performance improvement initiatives
  • Deliver category strategy presentations and recommendations to Executive Leadership
  • Partner with Finance Business partners during the planning cycle to provide updates on supplier spend across DocuSign teams throughout the fiscal year
  • Provide cross functional and top-down visibility into all suppliers and spend analytics
  • Experience building data visualization and reporting
  • Maintain expert level understanding of PO lifecycle: requisitioning, receiving, invoicing, accruals and QA in support of financial controls
  • Prepare analytical reports and industry outlooks
  • Develop successful partnerships with key stakeholders and business partners to achieve desired results
  • Develop and managing cross-functional category management and strategic sourcing teams as needed
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive needed decisions to achieve desired results
  • Develop and maintain supplier criticality ratings and managing resulting critical supplier relationships
  • Manage supplier relationships including conducting Quarterly Business Reviews with critical suppliers and Executive Sponsors

What you bring

 

Basic

  • 12+ years of related experience in Technology environment
  • 3+ years working closely with leadership
  • BA/BS degree in Business or equivalent
  • Proven ability to run reports, along with advanced excel skills
  • Proven experience performing spend analysis and analytical abilities

Preferred

  • Track record of accomplishing year over year savings
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage a high volume of requests
  • Experience managing multiple projects at one time
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams

Wage Transparency

 

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

 

California: $130,500 – $208,050 base salary

 

Illinois and Colorado: $123,700 – $174,700 base salary

 

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $123,700 – $184,275 base salary
