Zayo is seeking a Senior Manager, Deal Management to join our Deal Desk team supporting the Media, Tech, Data Center, and AI sales verticals. The Senior Manager, Deal Management will be a critical leader of the Zayo deal management process. In this role, the Senior Manager, Deal Management will have the opportunity to drive team execution on our deal management processes for one of our sales segments, ranging from deal support, quote preparation, contract review, approval management, and deal processing. The Senior Manager, Deal Management will also have the opportunity to continually improve our process, ensuring a scalable and sustainable support model for our expanding sales team.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a focal point of contact for all transactional and strategic deals within your segment
  • Manage team of Individual Contributors including driving execution on KPI within the team, leading ongoing training and development, and developing deal by deal commercial strategy
  • Works cross-functionally with other areas (Legal, Product, Ops, Finance) to ensure that deals move quickly, efficiently and intelligently through the process
  • Drives commercial strategy trends and direction around analyzing deals within your segment
  • Proven leadership skills to continually improve and streamline working practices, tools and processes
  • Supports large RFP submissions with the following activities: deal shaping, deal approvals, deal quality reviews and win strategy sessions
  • This role will have purview over multiple internal systems and require someone who can align legacy process and tools into our current environment

 

Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree; Advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of Deal Desk and Sales Operations supporting enterprise customers
  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Experience working with contract structuring and commercial terms negotiation
  • Experience with RFPs and working with different commercial models and pricing structures
  • Customer-focused and self-motivated with a great sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Excellent writing skills, a technical and analytical mindset, and substantial experience supporting proposal responses for enterprise customers
  • Excellent at communicating with, and gaining consensus from internal leadership teams
  • Ability to work effectively across internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong financial acumen, including financial modeling and return on investment analysis
  • Strong telecom industry product knowledge
  • Understanding of technology trends and solutions relevant to Media, Tech, Data Center and AI customer accounts
  • Ability to develop high performing teams and deliver continuously at high performance levels
  • Requires an individual who is detailed oriented with superb organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize. Requires an ability to work and meet strict deadlines with limited supervision.

Base salary: $104,200 – $148,800 USD/annually, commensurate with experience
