AvantStay is looking for a scrappy, energetic Senior HR Business Partner with progressive experience influencing and mobilizing stakeholders across the entire HR ecosystem. Channeling your consultative and business partner approach, you’ll mobilize your ability to self-regulate, find balance, and ascertain priorities to champion robust projects across HR functional areas, from change management and employee relations to strategic planning and systems roll outs. You’ll act as a HR subject matter expert and trusted counsel who leverages relationship building, critical thinking, and sound decision making to drive consistent people best practices and standards of excellence for HQ client groups.

What you’ll do

  • Act as a counselor and trusted resource for client-facing executives by deciphering critical organizational development issues and providing strategic recommendations for strategic planning, compliance, and forecasting
  • Conceptualize, implement, and design structural elements (i.e., processes, systems, and action plans); foster learning and adaptation of AvantStay’s culture, values, policies, and procedures to ensure an effective, agile operations
  • Provide strategic counsel and advisement to HQ executives and client groups to enforce goal-setting and performance review practices, communicate critical timelines and processes, and provide strategies for performance ratings and effective employee communication/coaching
  • Ideate organizational effectiveness strategies and techniques to promote and position employee relations and performance management recommendations – while cultivating productivity and functionality
  • Channel change management expertise to craft plans and communication programs for business strategy changes focused on role impacts and HR processes
  • Champion mutually beneficial relationships and a proactive cadence of communication with People and Talent leadership to understand and develop projects across engagement, development, organization planning, and retention
  • Pioneer the evolution and improvement of the team processes by providing feedback and sharing ideas to increase strategic output, drive efficiency, or enhance our technical capability
  • Mobilize knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law to communicate changes to the AvantStay leadership team

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience specifically within an HR business partner, advisory, or consultancy capacity in a start-up or fast-growing company environment
  • A scrappy, start-up mindset with an ability to leverage grit, passion, and an entrepreneurial spirit within an ever-evolving environment
  • A pursuit for problem solving and an ability to deduce client issues and challenges, while ideating solutions that drive results
  • Proven ability to drive projects end-to-end with a high degree of ownership and autonomy
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees – while prioritizing tasks and delegating when appropriate
  • Robust knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
