As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will have a pivotal role in reducing cyber security risk associated with Alteryx cloud environments. You will assist in governing and maturing Alteryx’s Cloud Security program while managing technology vulnerabilities, researching cyber incidents and effectively co-leading comprehensive investigations and other security related activities.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Security:
- Architect, design, and implement security solutions for our cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain cloud security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to ensure the secure configuration and deployment of cloud services.
- Monitor and audit cloud environments for security violations and recommend corrective actions.
Vulnerability Management:
- Develop, maintain, and oversee the vulnerability management program.
- Scan, identify, and prioritize vulnerabilities across systems, applications, and networks.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated with the latest vulnerabilities and threats in the cybersecurity landscape.
General Security:
- Provide guidance on security best practices to the broader organization.
- Assist with security incidents and provide expert guidance on resolution and prevention.
- Contribute and support security assessments, penetration tests, and security audits as needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation on security controls, procedures, and protocols.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience/training.
- 5+ years in an Information Security or IT role, preferably in cloud security, incident response, vulnerability management, or consulting.
- Demonstrated experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, standards, and frameworks.
- Proficiency with enterprise vulnerability management platforms such as Tenable.io, Rapid7, Qualys, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with Cloud Security Posture Management tools such as Prisma Cloud, Orca, and/or Wiz.
- Demonstrated success with Vulnerability Management program(s) or remediation efforts.
- Strong skills in engineering and operational tools and technologies e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Knowledge about CI/CD practices and experience incorporating security requirements into a SDLC.
- Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detail.
Bonus:
- Industry security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or anything cloud specific.
Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
- The salary range for this role in Southern California, Colorado, Washington, and Rhode Island is $118,700-$201,800.
- The salary range for this role in New York City and Northern California is $129,000-$220,200.
