Toast is driven by building the restaurant platform that helps restaurants streamline operations, increase revenue and deliver amazing guest experiences. The Toast Customer Marketing team drives advocacy, revenue, and retention from our restaurant customer base.

Toast is seeking a Sr. Associate Marketing Manager to support the team with campaign execution, finding new ways to optimize existing marketing programs, and reporting on campaign performance. In this role, you’ll join the Customer Marketing Flex team, designed to help develop the necessary skills and strong understanding of the full Toast customer journey that make a great Customer Marketer.

What you will do:

  • Assist the Activation & Adoption, Growth, and Community & Advocacy teams with campaign execution in marketing automation tools (Marketo/Braze)
  • Take ownership of existing and planned email marketing programs and identify opportunities to improve performance
  • Effectively manage projects across multiple programs
  • Help the team pull campaign performance data and synthesize learnings into actionable insights
  • Partner with our customer-facing teams, such as Onboarding, Restaurant Success, and Growth Sales teams on go-to-market initiatives that help drive exceptional customer experiences
  • Become a better writer: Flex your copywriting skills and proactively seek feedback from the team to improve your writing
  • Build connections: Develop relationships with teammates and cross-functional partners
  • Become an effective communicator: Get experience presenting work to teammates and leaders with coaching to help improve your effectiveness


  • Must have a growth mindset and be willing to ask questions and learn as much as possible
  • Strong copywriter and verbal communicator
  • Experience building campaigns with email service providers/marketing automation platforms (such as Marketo/Braze)
  • Strong confidence in analyzing marketing performance (including experience in Microsoft Excel/Google sheets) and storytelling insights
  • Strong attention to detail with proven ability to project manage
  • Adaptive, resilient, and able to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Deep customer empathy; ability to understand audience needs and deliver an amazing experience

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with B2B marketing
  • Experience in Salesforce and Business Intelligence Tools (such as Looker)
  • 3+ years of direct marketing experience
  • Pay Range
    $65,000—$85,000 USD
