The program manager drives successful completion of strategic cross-functional HR initiatives and programs by leading and tracking progress toward critical milestones throughout the planning, scheduling, and implementation phases. This is accomplished individually, or through influencing indirectly.  The program manager focuses on a portfolio of internal projects, typically from initiation through delivery, by coordinating with stakeholders and cross-functional team members through meetings and progress measurement activity. The program manager is responsible for maintaining and reporting all aspects inclusive of timeline, cost, budget and ROI for the portfolio. Projects may be driven, in part, by the use of feedback from HR, TA, L&D and business stakeholders. Successful candidates will use expert influencing skills to ensure project and program objectives are met.

Primary Responsibilities  

  • Runs complex programs and projects, personally or through their team
  • Manages program portfolios from inception through completion; including defining the business case, creating objectives, planning, facilitating working sessions, driving and overseeing the progress of cross-functional teams, tracking project deliverables and deadlines, identifying dependencies and project risks, and publishing project status reports
  • Prepares regular progress reports to be presented to senior leadership.
  • Leverages expert influencing skills with key partners to ensure completion of objectives, without direct management responsibility.
  • Executes against program strategies and HR initiatives to drive program completion
  • Implements new operational tools and enhancements to existing tools to enable operational effectiveness
  • Analyzes performance metrics and stakeholder feedback to identify improvement opportunities
  • Creates solutions which improve business performance and efficiency
  • Builds activation and maintenance strategies to insure future success
  • Leads and facilitates improvement programs using appropriate methodologies to ensure objectives are met
  • Ensures project priorities and solutions align with the organization’s strategic direction
  • Develops project documentation to facilitate sharing of project outcomes and best practices
  • Drives optimization of user experience leveraging process, people and technology.
  • Identifies and surface items that pose risk and work with teams to mitigate and reduce risk.
  • Engages business leaders to resolve any obstacles which may be encountered

Education and Experience 

  • 5-7 years of program and project management and process improvement experience or equivalent work experience
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.  Master’s degree is a plus
  • Six Sigma Lean methodology training and experience a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a HR focused HR focused organization
  • Collaborative approach to decision making on teams.
  • Ability to influence without direct line reporting.
  • This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $90,537- $133,900,000/yr;
