As a Sr. Lead Product Manager, your role will encompass the complete software product lifecycle for your designated product areas. This includes inception, launch, fostering adoption, and continuous improvement. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, design, marketing, customer success, sales, and more, to articulate and execute the product vision geared towards ensuring customer success. Furthermore, you will establish strong ties with customers and internal stakeholders to gain insights into customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes, all of which will drive informed decisions regarding the product roadmap.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in shaping a product roadmap and successfully executing it. This entails everything from leading customer and prospective customer discovery efforts, to partnering with the marketing team for a successful product release, and ongoing monitoring of usage.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive the complete product lifecycle, encompassing the identification and definition of product requirements, as well as the supervision of development, testing, and release phases.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure the timely and budget-conscious delivery of high-quality products.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends, discern customer needs, and uncover opportunities for product enhancements.
  • When necessary, establish and maintain relationships with vendors and partners for seamless integration of their products into our solution offerings.
  • Foster close relationships with stakeholders such as customers, sales teams, and customer success to solicit feedback and guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Define and prioritize product features and enhancements by considering business and customer needs, market analysis, and technical feasibility.
  • Develop and communicate a well-defined product roadmap and vision to internal teams and stakeholders, aligning everyone toward a common goal. Emphasize the business rationale and the “why” behind requirements for our engineering teams.
  • Rapidly acquire and act as a subject matter expert in your product areas through research, customer engagement, and collaboration with internal and external experts. Provide guidance and support to the team, particularly in the realm of e-procurement.
  • Author and present clear requirements, including associated user stories, to your partners in engineering and design.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to e-procurement and your specific product area. Incorporate innovative solutions into the product strategy as appropriate.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance and gather user feedback to iterate and improve product offerings.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and across different departments to achieve product success.

What You’ll Need (Required):

  • Work Experience: Possess 5-7 years of demonstrated experience as a product manager in e-procurement, B2B eCommerce, payments technology, or a related software company, with a track record of successfully launching these products to market.
  • Domain Experience: Exhibit expertise in both building a product from the ground up and maturing existing products.
  • Analytical Skills: Showcase exceptional analytical prowess, capable of refining strategic and technical roadmaps and synthesizing insights to drive improvements and recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Display excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a regular requirement to deliver presentations to stakeholders. Articulate research findings, design decisions, and formulate strategies in a clear and compelling manner that resonates with and is easily understood by stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal/People Skills: Demonstrate the ability to facilitate seamless collaboration and foster relationships essential for success in this role. Build trust among team members and effectively influence others. Possesses strong presentation skills when interacting with leadership, customers, and engineering teams, along with exceptional relationship-building capabilities.

What you’ll need (Nice to Have!):

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Domain Experience: Experience in leading the delivery of catalog ingestion products for e-procurement or e-commerce. Previous experience as a platform Product Manager is a plus.
  • Technology: Familiarity with cloud architecture and design, with a preference for expertise in Azure.
  • Leadership Qualities: A proven track record of effectively mentoring and coaching developing product managers. The ability to consistently drive results, exhibit confidence not only in oneself but also in others, and inspire and motivate team performance. Demonstrated capability to navigate complex situations and tasks with composure, setting a positive example for others.
  • Experience: Experience in a fast-growing startup or early-stage company is desired, with a preference for candidates who have joined at a similar company size to our current stage.

Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
