The POS team is responsible for creating intuitive and efficient workflows for the Toast point of sale software platform powering restaurant-grade hardware.  This team focuses on delivering cohesive device software experiences that simplify complex actions, drive efficiency and empower servers to delight guests while taking orders.

This Product Designer will own the quality and outcomes for a key Point of Sale (POS) payment experience. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and other designers to craft end to end experiences that “Do right by the customer”, directly impacting restaurant servers, managers and operators. They will have opportunities to grow their skills with learning resources and direct mentorship from more senior designers.

The right ingredients* (Requirements)

  • 3+ years of experience in a product design role
  • Demonstrated experience designing software through the full product life cycle from idea through release
  • Proficient in designing for responsive web and native mobile platforms including wireframes, user journey maps, prototypes and detailed designs
  • Ability to work with UI components to create pixel perfect experiences
  • Enough UX research fluency to conduct outreach and generate insights
  • Experience collaborating with a cross-functional team to understand customer needs and discover solutions together
  • Able to work in a fast-paced hybrid work environment and independently manage tasks

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.

$105,000—$168,000 USD
