We’re looking for a Pricing Manager to own the pricing strategy and algorithms for Garner’s business. This role reports to the Head of Finance.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct in-depth quantitative research into healthcare insurance markets and Garner’s product history to understand optimal pricing strategy
  • Owning Garner’s rates, margin profile, and financial risk in the market for all new business and renewed clients
  • Manage policies related to pricing exceptions, pricing concessions, and performance guarantees
  • Maintaining and scoping improvements to tooling for quoting or renewals
  • Building, maintaining, and improving complex pricing models for our SAAS and financial risk products
  • Building adhoc pricing models to help inform product decisions and systematizing these models to deliver consistent outcomes
  • Benchmarking to the competitive landscape to understand how our pricing compares
  • Managing, developing, motivating and retaining a team of operations analysts

Ideal candidate has:

  • 3+ years of experience in a strategic problem-solving role; prior experience in management consulting, investment banking, or an early stage startup
  • Ability to build and maintain complex data-driven models while uncovering areas of improvement
  • Ability to think in principles and frameworks to understand complex, abstract problems
  • A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
  • Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment

The target salary range for this position is: $140,000 – $155,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.
