We are looking for a People Ops Manager to help bring the Airbyte People Ops team to the next level and empower our team. At Airbyte, we are a group of hardworking and respectful people, united by our passion for the world of data and our shared goal to make Airbyte and our users successful. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of People Ops as a key strategic partner, putting our  globally distributed team at the forefront as we aim to scale from 90 to 170 people by the end of 2022.

You will own onboarding, performance management, and engagement initiatives at Airbyte, and you will help develop processes and programs to ensure an optimal full employee life cycle for all team members. You will partner with Leadership to build and execute repeatable programs, processes, and policies to drive employee performance & engagement and deepen the connection to Airbyte’s mission and vision.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner closely with our People Ops team and team leads to manage the full employee life cycle for our quickly scaling distributed remote team
  • Oversee our 2-week general onboarding bootcamp, while continuously making improvements based on new hire feedback, and collaborate closely with team leads to create, develop, and support team/role-specific onboarding tracks to ensure all Airbyters are set up for success from Day 1
  • Develop, execute, and own performance management and engagement survey processes using CultureAmp
  • Work closely with our HRO to help manage onboarding, payroll & benefits, leave of absence requests, and other ad-hoc requests
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of our employee handbook and contribute to the development of policies
  • Serve as a crucial point of contact between Leadership and our team
  • Participate in and/or lead ad-hoc projects, including but not limited to: collaborating with our People Ops Coordinator and Workplace Manager to carry out team activities and events (including quarterly meetups, annual company retreats, and ongoing virtual events); partnering with our recruiting team and Leadership to continuously improve our DE&I strategy; and creating content for employer branding around the initiatives we do internally
  • Be an ambassador of our culture in the team!
What You’ll Need
  • 3+ years of experience in People Ops
  • Experience working with globally distributed remote teams
  • Self-directed and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent time management skills and experience working independently with minimum supervision
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills with the ability to explain and translate complex technology concepts into simple and intuitive communications
