We’re looking for a Payments Associate with knowledge of payment collections, billing procedures, and account reconciliation for a small-to-medium-sized business. You will specialize in collecting payments from our customers: rideshare, taxi, and last-mile delivery drivers who we charge weekly.

In this role, you will be responsible for collecting payments in an effective and timely manner. Your job will be to ensure we are collecting payments and reducing the fleet-wide balance in all markets. You will develop, improve upon and execute a rule-based empirical system for collections, maximizing receipts and minimizing time spent collecting, which has a big impact on our organization!

What you’ll do

  • Oversee functions and responsibilities related to customer payment collections, account management, and billing processes
  • Work with leadership to evaluate current collection practices and make improvements
  • Ensure markets meet collections metrics: average Payment Success Ratios, Days Since Last Payment, Average Balance Outstanding, etc.
  • Meet and exceed internal collections metrics set for each billing cycle: successful payment capture percentage, charge aging, etc.
  • Develop, manage, and execute billing-related communications with customers to effect collections and ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Work with third-party vendors to capture highly delinquent accounts and determine the process by which we submit accounts
  • Travel as required to perform responsibilities

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3-4+ years of collections experience with retail or high-risk customers
  • Knowledge of payment processing techniques, collections practices, industry-standard metrics, customer support
  • Knowledge of Google suite and applicable automotive software products

Compensation range: $60,000 – $90,000
