Valera Health is seeking a remote Medical Assistant for our virtual practice who supports the work of physicians and nurse practitioners. Be part of a compassionate care team dedicated to elevating mental health care.

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:

• Service as a point of contact between Valera Prescribers and Valera patients receiving medication management to ensure a seamless, high-quality care experience
• Collaborate with administrative staff to facilitate care delivery and ensure patient adherence to medication management services
• Support routine refill requests and obtain prior authorization
• Serve at the point of contact for patient medication issues/concerns, and triage to care team members
• Communicate telephonically with patient pharmacy, insurance, or lab companies regarding medication management services
• Assist with patient scheduling for urgent visits and/or required follow-ups
• Promote communication and collaboration throughout the organization

Qualifications Medical Assistant:

Required (Education/Experiences/Competencies):

• Active LPN/LVN licensure
•  2 years of customer service experience
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•  Proficiency with computer applications
• Ability to work independently, as well as within a team
• Private work environment to maintain patient confidence

Preferred (Education/Experiences/Competencies):

• • Telehealth experience
  • experience with health information exchange systems;
  • experience navigating various electronic medical records
  • experience with insurance prior authorization

Licenses:

Active unencumbered LPN/LVN

Fair work deserves fair wages. We at Valera support wage transparency and value this role at between $48,000-$52,000.
