The Opportunity:
As a Marketing Analyst at Pluralsight, your work will strengthen Pluralsight’s position as the leader in technology workforce development! You will be the Rockstar who drives analysis methodology, gathers insights, and digs deep into data for Pluralsight, assessing many aspects of our B2B and B2C marketing efforts, with an added focus on web and digital marketing. We have a significant emphasis on our web presence and it has a strong correlation with revenue impact; making your work one of the most impactful and visible within the organization! You will have hands-on experience with Adobe Analytics and a strong understanding of web analytics concepts, including data capture methodologies, segmentation, conversion tracking, and configuration of the reporting suite. You will play a pivotal role ensuring that we are identifying all the important data aggregation points, and collecting relevant data to make informed business decisions. You are also expected to have a good SQL skillset and moderate experience with presentations / storytelling.

This is a cross-collaborative role that heavily relies on your ability to find, articulate and communicate trends and help our marketing org better understand web insights. What you’ll own:

•  Assist in development / management / analysis of: reports in Adobe Analytics, sql tables, analytics logic, quick querying, and data import from multiple systems, among others..

• Identify requirements to ensure accurate tracking of new pages and experiences; define web goals and targets to facilitate improvements to web traffic, conversion, engagement, and retention; enable visibility of traffic source trends.

•  Enable business case solutions and reporting practices that facilitate simple, consistent, and efficient updates to marketing teams.

•  Manage or partially manage Report Suite Manager in Adobe Analytics that ultimately impacts analytics.

• Dig into data and raw information through discovering trends and patterns that can be used to extract valuable business insights such as: web traffic source, traffic trends analysis (why traffic spiked or dropped), page performance, how traffic is moving across the important pages, paid vs organic vs social traffic performance, and blog traffic trends, among others.

•  Optimize analysis methods and internal processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of our work.

Experience you’ll need:

• 2+ years post-undergrad data analyst experience in solving business problems with data at a fast-paced growth company; prior background in web/digital analytics, marketing analytics, business analysis, sales or revenue operations, financial analysis, or similar is needed.

• Have moderate to strong experience in SQL; able to write complex join, union, pivot, common table expression query statements for calculations in SQL, and moderate level of proficiency in Excel or gSheet is required.

•  1-3 years of strong experience using Adobe Analytics tools to drive actionable insights is highly recommended (including knowledge on Report Suite Manager for configuration).

• Ability to work with large amounts of information and see the ‘bigger picture’. Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills using data analysis and utilizing any combination of analytics tools.

• Strong understanding of Tag Management, Audience Segmentation, Customer Journey Analytics within Adobe Analytics.

• Communicating complex data and its implications to non-technical audiences. Moderate level of PowerPoint / Slides / Presentation skills are desired.

• Intermediate experience in Tableau is desired.

• Can move fast, be agile, and operate at a growth mindset; must have effective organizational, time-management, and good attention to detail skills

• Team player, ability to prioritize team’s greater vision and align with all members as one team. The position will be working for a team that’s mostly remote.

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred.
