The Lab Manager is responsible for both the ongoing usage, monitoring and maintenance of the Tanium-hosted lab infrastructure tool. Working closely with Technical Enablement team members and others outside of the organization, this individual will help in the ongoing design and implementation of the global labs platform to support all lab uses including internal and external training classes, employee validation tests, Tanium Certifications, workshops, and more. In addition, the Lab Manager will oversee the complete end-to-end process of lab development and execution for both internal and external conferences, such as Tanium Kick Off (TKO) and Converge, our annual user’s event.
This person is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Tanium-hosted lab infrastructure tool, including the management of internal and external data and content, contributing to ongoing system improvements, coordinating resolution of system issues, generating reports and tracking monthly spend, assisting learners with troubleshooting, and enabling other Enablement team members with system information and troubleshooting tips to help them perform their jobs more successfully.
Working in alignment with Technical Enablement management, the Lab Manager will also act as a consultant to other Tanium organizations to provide best practices and guidance for appropriate planning, setup, configuration and implementation of content within the Tanium-hosted lab platform. This individual should ideally have a thorough understanding of learning platforms and expect to become an expert to troubleshoot any technical difficulties. The ideal candidate can quickly and efficiently locate information, solve problems or roadblocks, and swiftly determine solutions with a customer-service focus and mindset.
In addition, the Lab Manager will act as an Administrator in the Tanium Learning Management System (LMS), providing secondary support to the Primary Administrator. This person will be responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations in the Tanium LMS, including the management of courses and content, providing support and best practices to other Enablement team members, actively troubleshooting and finding resolutions to system issues, assisting learners with troubleshooting, and contributing to continuous system improvements and overall program efficiencies. He/She/They should expect to become a system expert and provide best-in-class customer service to internal and external learners.
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with the Technical Enablement team, technical SMEs and other stakeholders to create, track and manage virtual IT training templates made available within Tanium’s hosted lab system.
- Provide virtual training lab access within Tanium’s hosted lab system to internal and external training attendees and trainers.
- Manage ongoing access and user accounts, as well as maintain compliance for a quarterly User Access Review as outlined by Tanium’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance team.
- Monitor and provide troubleshooting for lab training classes for all audiences in support of weekly training needs.
- Process and evaluate incoming requests for new lab templates.
- Continually monitor the hosted lab system to insure efficient and effect usage leading to cost savings.
- Actively monitor current costs and provide future estimates.
- Serve as the representative between Tanium and hosted lab infrastructure vendor.
- Work with stakeholders to help create, oversee, and monitor hosted labs for Tanium user conferences.
- Work closely with stakeholders to maintain and support training content (SCORM files, PDFs, videos), curricula, courses, enrollments, and notifications in the LMS.
- Manage access controls to the LMS including account provisioning integrations, user groups, and user permissions.
- Monitor activity and administrator level access and features including custom fields, rules, etc.
- Support other teams with questions relating to the Learning Management System.
- Support all audiences in accessing the LMS, launching courses, completing assignments, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Regularly review and compile user and course enrollment data as requested.
- Process new requests for hosting courses and content in the LMS including setting up new courses and content, defining availability and other related settings.
- Continuously monitor, support, and look to improve existing and net new integrations between the LMS and other Tanium owned software and platforms.
- Work closely with the Partner Enablement organization to ensure proper integration between the LMS, partner portal, and other platforms.
- Actively monitor and track the security needs of the hosted labs to ensure proper hygiene with OS updates, passwords and more.

We’re looking for someone with:
Education:
- Bachelors Degree preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of extensive experience
- Familiarity with virtual labs tools is preferred; familiarity with Skillable (fka Learn on Demand) and/or Saba Cloud are a plus.
- Strong familiarity with AWS, Azure and other hosted cloud virtualizations platforms are a plus.
- Must be a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Previous LMS Administrator experience preferred.
- Project and Program Management experience a plus; PMP Certification preferred

- The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000 to $185,000
