As the Head of Product Marketing, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our products in the market. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive product marketing strategies that promote our CDP solutions, drive customer adoption, and increase market share. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure alignment and deliver impactful go-to-market initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Develop and execute a robust product marketing strategy that aligns with our business goals and supports the overall company vision.
- Product Positioning: Define and articulate compelling value propositions, positioning, and messaging for our CDP solutions, catering to various target markets and buyer personas.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive differentiators. Utilize this information to inform product and marketing strategies.
- Go-to-Market Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute effective go-to-market plans for new product launches, feature releases, and enhancements. Develop product launch materials, sales enablement collateral, and customer-facing assets.
- Sales Enablement: Enable the sales team with the necessary product knowledge, tools, and resources to effectively articulate the value proposition of our CDP solutions and drive revenue growth. Develop sales enablement content, presentations, and training materials.
- Thought Leadership: Establish the company and its product offerings as thought leaders in the CDP space. Develop compelling content, including whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, and webinars, to showcase our expertise and drive brand awareness.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Management to provide market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence that contribute to product roadmap decisions and product enhancements.
- Cross-functional Alignment: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure cohesive messaging, integrated campaigns, and consistent customer experiences throughout the customer journey.
- Metrics and Analysis: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives. Analyze data and metrics to continuously optimize strategies and tactics.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of product marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in product marketing roles, preferably in the SaaS software industry.
- Strong knowledge of the Customer Data Platform (CDP) market and related technologies.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic product marketing plans that have driven market adoption and revenue growth.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and compelling messages.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage market insights and customer data to inform decision-making.
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
