Craft is seeking a Head of People Operations. You will serve as a key member of the executive team, report to the CEO, and work closely with our Head of Community + DEI. With your background in rapidly scaling a startup, you will have the ability to grow an HR team and help our company grow from 99 to 200+ in the coming year. Our ideal candidate can thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and has a proven track record in launching and scaling successful People Operations within startups and/or larger companies.

In this role you will

  • Report directly to the CEO, act as strategic and operational leader of our global People Operations.
  • Oversee employee lifecycle management and design programs that retain talent
  • Understand the global landscape of employees (we currently have offices in US, UK, Belarus, with numerous remote team members) and create customized solutions/benefits for each region (understanding local laws, regulations, cultural preferences)
  • Work in partnership with our hiring managers, DEI partners, legal counsel, finance
  • Will bring deep understanding of compensation programs, salary bands (global), market analysis (data-guided)
  • Develop recruitment strategies, performance reviews, programs, policies alongside our Head of Community + Diversity, Equity, Inclusion
  • Implement proactive employee relations strategies that preserve a trusting, high integrity, and engaging environment
  • Ensure the organization develops and maintains the culture, values and design it needs to reach its growth objectives while managing structural change

We’d love to hear from you if

  • You have startup environment experience (fast growth/rapid change) and experience working at a larger company is a plus. The ideal candidate is a builder, someone who can build our operational infrastructure and programs from the ground up
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, advanced degree a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in HR
  • Experience partnering with globally distributed teams
  • Strong understanding of tax, legal, compensation, employee international mobility/immgration, localized benefits, employment law compliance knowledge
  • If you have exemplary interpersonal skills and functional knowledge of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Bonus – HR Certification – SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR-CA / SPHR-CA
