As the Head of Climate Impact, you will develop partnerships with clients to achieve their ESG goals by supporting Terraformation’s mission. You’ll own carbon credit purchase agreements, project sponsorship, co-creating new financial vehicles, and more—the climate crisis needs creative approaches to partnership.
Location: Remote; US Preferred
Salary: $120,000 – 150,000 USD, plus equity (depending on location and experience)

Drive Project Financing
• Engage key buyers and partners with premier forestry carbon projects
• Implement robust carbon sales strategies for optimal revenue and climate impact
• Represent Terraformation’s leadership at significant industry events
• Analyze industry trends and regulations for strategic team adaptation
• Create innovative financial products for climate investment
Manage Contracts with Precision
• Lead negotiations to balance benefits and risks effectively and mutually
• Ensure strict compliance with all partnership agreements
Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Join forces with marketing, legal, and finance for unified project delivery
Inspire Team Excellence
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and mission alignment
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business development, specifically in scaling sales programs in a high growth environment
- Strong leadership and team management experience, with a proven track record of driving team success in complex sales environments
- Deep expertise in nature-based carbon solutions, particularly in forest-based projects
- Demonstrated ability in forming strategic partnerships and securing funds in the carbon sales market
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex contracts with senior stakeholders
- Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and pipeline management
- Ability to synthesize industry trends and translate them into actionable business strategies
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical and complex
