What you’ll do
- Process global monthly & semi-monthly payrolls for 6 countries
- Implement new payroll vendors to bring global processing in-house
- Create SOPs for each global payroll process
- Maintain compliance and research for global payroll/ tax
- Educate internal stakeholders and global employees on rules/ laws that impact them
What you’ll bring
Sprout Social is looking for a Global Payroll Manager who is collaborative, detail-oriented, and analytical, with a proven ability to partner cross-functionally with stakeholders and handle sensitive and confidential data. You have previous experience implementing a payroll software/vendor for a country (beyond the U.S.), building payroll processes for a new country from the ground-up, and have successfully managed end-of-year processes and documentation for multiple countries. You have demonstrated experience improving upon and creating efficient and scalable processes, are motivated to find the why, and are team-oriented.
The minimum qualifications for this role include:
- 8+ years of global payroll processing experience for 5+ countries
- High-volume end-to-end payroll experience (domestic or global)
- Demonstrated success leading projects end-to-end and building processes from the ground up
- Advanced Excel skills
Preferred qualifications for this role include:
- Experience reporting RSU income internationally
- Experience with Workday, particularly integrating into Workday from 3rd party payroll + reporting
- Experience working with Ireland, Philippines, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and U.K. payroll
How you’ll grow
Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:
- Experiencing Sprout’s in-depth onboarding, covering everything from our company mission and values, hearing directly from executives and founders to deep training on our products and the value that Sprout delivers to our customers
- Making a plan with your manager to set initial priorities, aligning on expectations for your role, planting goalposts for your career, and learning about Sprout’s approach to global payroll
- Connecting with appropriate teams to gain access to systems, shared drives, etc.
- Shadowing global payroll for all countries
- Shadowing domestic payroll for understanding
Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:
- Meeting with all internal stakeholders
- Creating SOPs for global payroll(s)
- Fully taking over submitting payroll for our APAC and EMEA regions
- Beginning to respond to international inquiries in the payroll service desk
- Having a strong understanding of Sprout payroll and HRIS systems, with the ability to independently navigate them
Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:
- Implementing a new system of pay for one country
- Fully understanding compliance-related requirements for this role and ensuring all aspects are met
- Communicating processes and playing a key role in the development of new controls as needed
Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:
- Helping prepare and audit year-end documents
- Leading plan preparations to optimize global payroll country-by-country
- Being recognized as the Sprout go-to person for all things global payroll

The base pay range for this role is $100,000.00 to $135,000.00 USD annually. Individual base pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. In addition to base pay, some Sales and Success roles can earn sales incentives
