As a member of Sprout’s finance team, you will play a pivotal role in positioning Sprout for future growth, all while ensuring compliance and upholding the highest standards of integrity. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the development of best-in-class processes and practices that are scalable as our organization grows. What you’ll do
- Guide the development of our reporting and analysis processes across all our departments at Sprout.
- Provide insights to our leaders for intelligent decision making and have an impact on our business.
- Use Sprout’s planning tool (Vena), sales tool (SalesForce), data visualization (Tableau) to create reports.
- Understand the mechanics and drivers of our P&L, Plan and Forecast methodology.
- Fully own monthly/quarterly reporting processes, including budget to actuals, variance modeling, and key performance metrics.
- Construct financial models for what-if scenarios and ad-hoc analysis to inform leadership.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to build scalable solutions based on reliable data.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for someone with past experience in Accounting and/or Finance, who is able to communicate clearly, partners well with the departments we support, and thrives in a fast paced changing environment. The minimum qualifications for this role include:
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance or business operations
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications for this role include:
- Experience using Vena financial reporting, Salesforce reporting and Tableau
How you’ll grow
- Complete Sprout Social’s new hire training & onboarding program alongside other new Sprout team members. You’ll gain a broader understanding of our products and how your role fits into the organization.

Within 3 months, you will:
- Build connections with members from other teams through networking and community building.
- Become proficient using Sprout’s planning tool (Vena), sales tool (Salesforce), data visualization (Tableau) to create and analyze reports.
- Understand the mechanics and drivers of our P&L, Plan and Forecast methodology.
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting.
Within 6 months, you will:
- Fully own monthly/quarterly reporting processes, including actuals vs. target, variance analysis, and key performance metrics.
- Provide key insights to our business partners using ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to build scalable solutions based on reliable data.
- Have your first performance conversation with your manager, where you’ll discuss your accomplishments in your role and work together to build goals for your professional growth
Within 12 months, you will:
- Play a key role in our annual planning process.
- Communicate financial performance and recommendations to our business partners across the organization, including the CFO.
- Be an expert and identify opportunities to improve our tools capabilities and other areas for automation.
- Surprise us! Use your unique ideas and abilities to change your team in beneficial ways that we haven’t even considered yet.

The base pay range for this role is $68,000 – $102,000 annually. Individual base pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. In addition to base pay, some Sales and Success roles can earn sales incentives.
