The Director, Strategic Finance will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and operations of Panorama. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will lead the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function and oversee a small team responsible for strategic financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Director will provide critical financial insights and recommendations to support the company’s growth and strategic initiatives. This role can be up-leveled to Sr. Director for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making at the executive level
- FP&A Leadership: Lead and mentor the FP&A team, overseeing the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success, to provide financial guidance and support. Partner with department heads to drive financial performance and operational efficiency
- Financial Analysis & Modeling: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including scenario planning, to evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives. Develop financial models to assess the impact of various business decisions
- Performance Metrics & Reporting: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the company’s financial performance. Provide regular reporting and insights to the CFO, CEO, and other senior leaders
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company’s financial stability and compliance with relevant regulations. Develop and implement internal controls and processes to safeguard company assets
- Strategic Initiatives: Lead and participate in special projects and strategic initiatives, such as capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and new product launches
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with a focus on FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance
- 5+ years of exceptional leadership and team management, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- 2+ years of investment banking experience
- Proven track record of success in a senior finance leadership role, preferably within a SaaS or technology company
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Salary: The annual base salary range for this role is $185,500-246,000
