We have team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. This means we put in extra effort to make sure we connect and collaborate in ways that make sense for us. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees.

We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to build those relationships with team members in other cities, we meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These offsites are expected of employees and are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually.  Additionally, this role will be required to visit our showroom in Beverly Hills, CA at least 3x a year for activations, shoot days, and special events.

We have built a beloved brand over the past 10+ years and are ready to share our story with the world. Babylist is seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of PR & Social to build our brand awareness, media business, and content ecosystem.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of experience in brand, social media and PR marketing roles leading a consumer facing brand ideally in companies that have multiple business lines and revenue streams
  • At least 5 years of experience leadership and people management; you’ve hired, performance managed, and developed high performing teams
  • Experience building or upleveling video strategy and video specific content across multiple platforms
  • Strong understanding and involvement in social media platforms. You understand its impact on the brand narrative and are excited to stay up to date on ever evolving trends
  • Experience in developing and managing partnerships and collaborations with major companies, influencers, and celebrities
  • You’re an expert at and obsessed with media, balancing watching the latest trends with tried and true audience-growing techniques
  • You have the ability to context shift with ease between consumer and business needs, from creative concepting to P&L management to brand reputation management
  • You are confident in your expertise and know how to make a case when suggesting new initiatives and demonstrate ROI to multiple stakeholders
  • History of strong collaboration with revenue growth teams, especially advertising partnerships and performance marketing
  • You’re great at networking and have existing media relationships in digital, print, and broadcast
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure and report on the effectiveness of all channel initiatives

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Execute current and develop future comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the company’s overall mission and goals, with a focus on growing owned content and social media channels
  • Take a leadership role in the company’s original video strategy, creating user-focused and differentiated video content, including short-form and long-form, across all platforms
  • Lead the social media and PR teams to create and implement effective strategies that grow key KPIs
  • Identify and manage new business opportunities and partnerships that elevate and extend our brand awareness, including distribution opportunities with major content companies and celebrities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on company-wide marketing initiatives and to support brand and marketing needs from other departments
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of all initiatives, make recommendations for improvements and set and manage budgets
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to inform brand strategy and decision-making

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

The estimated pay range for this role is $150,852.00- $226,382.00
