TeamSnap is looking for an experienced Director of Product Design with a passion for building extraordinary product experiences to accelerate the growth of our business. This is a hands-on player/coach role where you will report directly to our CTO, with a tight collaboration with product management and engineering.

What you’ll be doing:

      • Set a vision for great customer experiences, inspiring others to get behind the vision in a hands-on way across the organization, ultimately delivering products and services that are known for their delightful experience and ease of use. Shape the product roadmap, both short-term and long-term.
      • Partner with engineering, product, and business leaders across our different B2C, B2B, and Advertising business units to meet our growth and innovation goals.
      • Getting deep into Amplitude analytics to inform our user design, using data to guide design decisions, and optimizing user experiences based on real-world behavior.
      • Manage and grow our existing team of great designers.
      • Drive the TeamSnap brand identity strategy across all product and marketing assets.
      • Present, communicate, influence, and solicit feedback from executive leadership to product teams by conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wire-framing, and prototyping.
      • Lead with a strong point of view, backed up by personal expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends.
      • Build a test and learn approach across the organization by defining and orchestrating user research, testing, and experiments to validate product and design assumptions.

What’ll set you up for success:

      • An impressive online portfolio demonstrating your strong craft, innovation, and collaborative process for mobile, B2C and B2B SaaS products.
      • 3+ years of experience managing remote and/or international designers and multifunctional design teams.
      • 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in mobile app (SwiftUI & Compose) and web platform design and building complex features & systems.
      • A customer-obsessed mindset and approach that uses customer insights and industry trends to influence your designs and decision-making.
      • Deep technical and working knowledge of Figma and other essential design tools.
      • Deep working knowledge of UX design, design principles, and user research methodologies and processes.
      • Strong understanding of the technical aspects of design, including front-end development principles, to effectively communicate with engineering teams.
      • Expert knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers and cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and user research.
      • Thought leadership within the design community.
      • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
      • A passion for understanding user needs and the ability to rally the entire company to translate those needs into exceptional product experiences.
      • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
We’re committed to equitable compensation for all TeamSnappers. The minimum starting point for this role is $200,000 OTE, inclusive of base and bonus, with comp updated based on multiple factors. Our comp is highly competitive in our space and we adjust overall comp based on relevant experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
